Curadebt Review -Is it worth it?

CuraDebt, a trusted debt relief provider, offers services across the United States. CuraDebt will negotiate a settlement with your creditors that is less than what you owe. After the settlement is reached, CuraDebt will charge you a fee of 20% and your creditor the agreed amount.

Because debt settlement programs can have a negative impact on your credit score and providers might not be able reach an agreement with creditors, you should only consider them after you’ve exhausted other options for debt relief.

Company Overview

CuraDebt, a debt relief firm, was founded in 2000. It is located in Hollywood in Florida. The American Fair Credit Council (AFCC) is the largest professional association in the field of debt relief. It is also an accredited service centre with the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators, an organization that helps debt relief companies ensure their employees are knowledgeable about debt relief laws.

CuraDebt, a national debt settlement firm, is only available in 34 states. These restrictions are not uncommon and often result from state debt relief laws.

CuraDebt’s review didn’t uncover any recent legal actions at either the federal or state levels.

Business Line of creditThere are many options for debt relief

CuraDebt is able to help individuals negotiate settlements for all types of unsecured debt, including credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit and medical bills. It can also help with the collection of any remaining debts and repossessions. Its ability to negotiate IRS debts and back taxes is what makes it stand apart from the rest.

CuraDebt won’t provide support for most lawsuits, utility bills or loans secured by collateral (e.g. auto, mortgage loans), student loans and government loans. The company might be able to assist you if you need to resolve a debt owed in a lawsuit or a private student loan. To determine if assistance may be available, you will need to talk to a debt counselor.

CuraDebt will only allow you to qualify if you have at least $5,000 of qualifying debt. This is a lower limit than many other debt relief companies that have minimums of $7,500 to $10,000.

Fees

CuraDebt does not disclose the fees it charges, unlike many of its competitors. CuraDebt states instead that it charges 20% on average for all enrolled debt. The industry averages a 15% to 25% fee. You may be able find lower pricing elsewhere if CuraDebt charges more than 15% to 25% of the total enrolled debt.

CuraDebt clients who successfully complete the program can usually get their debts paid within 24 to 48 month and save around 50%. CuraDebt fees are not included. After CuraDebt’s fees are paid, the average savings is around 30%

CuraDebt won’t charge you any fees until it has reached settlements with your creditors. This is a common practice in the industry. This pricing strategy is good because the company cannot guarantee it will be in a position to pay your debts. Because each creditor and each person’s financial situation are different, this is why it is important to be flexible.

It is illegal to work with a debt relief company that requires an upfront fee. Avoid working with companies that promise they can resolve your debts. This is illegal since everyone’s financial situation differs.

Customers are happy with the results of getting out of debt

To get an idea of what CuraDebt is like, we reviewed a variety of sources. We found that CuraDebt received positive reviews from most people. Many customers reported that CuraDebt helped them resolve their debt problems, as well as tax issues with IRS.

CuraDebt received significantly fewer negative reviews than the positive. We noticed a common theme in the negative reviews: confusion about the fees CuraDebt charges for legal protection plans offered through a third party provider. CuraDebt responded to these negative reviews by reimbursing the fees, even though they were not required to do so under the contract.

We didn’t find any reference to a third party legal plan when we reviewed CuraDebt’s debt relief offer on its website. Make sure you carefully read your contract to ensure you understand all fees.
